Over ten years ago I was in a camera store looking for a bag. I overheard a lady ask the gentleman at the counter if he still shot weddings. He politely said that no he had moved on to other things. I kept looking at camera equipment and waited for the lady to leave the store.
When she did, I followed her out to her truck and gave her my business card that I had just received the day before. I told her that I shot weddings and would be happy to talk with her. She took my card, thanked me and passed it on to her niece. I ended up shooting a beautiful wedding tucked into the coastal range where Shane and Dani Grant were married in the horse arena near their home. A few years later I shot Luke and Jodi Grant’s wedding at the local church in Harlan and now after ten years I was able to shoot Shane and Luke’s little sister’s wedding. Rebekah and Austin followed tradition by getting married out in Harlan, but they also made the day their own.
