Oregon State vs. Arizona

I was feeling a win today. Even tweeted it. Watching the Beavers bounce back this week against the Arizona Wildcats was FANTASTIC. The thing I noticed the most is that I feel like the defense has really started flying around and hitting people, and really enjoying hitting people. Because of this I included a lot more defensive shots that I usually do.

OSU Beavers vs. UCLA Bruins

I get to take pictures of a couple OSU football games this year. I love it. Even though the Beavers are having a pretty tough year, I still love documenting the games and trying to come up with some great shots. This game was especially fun as my dad helped me shoot. Here’s hoping the Beavers can turn it around in the weeks to come.

One of the funnest projects I worked on last year was only seen by a handful of people. I created a short promotional video hyping Jacquizz Rodgers for the Heisman trophy. I thought up the story line, contacted everyone involved, directed the commercial and then edited it together with original music created by Micah Dahl. The whole process was a whirlwind of activity and creativity. Unfortunately the Beavers didn’t have a Heisman producing season and by the time I was able to finish the project (I had to film some clips at the first home game) Quizz’s chances of competing for the Heisman were already out of reach.

I have to say though that working with Jacquizz and James Rodgers along with 1962 Heisman trophy winner was fantastic. Each person really invested into the project and I appreciated them sacrificing their time to create the video. Quizz declared for the NFL draft this year and even though Beaver Nation is sad that he won’t coming back for a senior year and another shot at the Hesiman, I wish him all the best as twists and dodges his way around NFL fields for years to come.

I could have predicted the score when the Cougars faced the Beavers, I don’t think anyone could have predicted the outcome. The Beavers were shocked 31 to 14 by Washington State on Saturday.

Jacquizz still managed to fake defenders out of their shoes…literally.

Oregon State Beavers vs. Arizona State Sun Devils

This last Saturday was a whole lot of fun. I took Gabe and Sofia, my Dad and my Father-in-Law to their first Beaver football game. Gabe only lasted through the 1st quarter and then he wanted to go home. It was a lot of fun to sit in the stands and cheer for the team because that is something I can’t do when I’m shooting. I watched the first three quarter from the stands and then went down on the field to shoot the 4th quarter.

Right when I got on the field Jaquizz Rodgers busted this 74 yard touchdown run. I barely had my camera set when Quizz ran by me.

Is it just me or do the Beavers lose their helmets a lot?

It was great to see Stephen Paea have a dominating game.

Jumping pictures always look cool.The sunset was really beautiful. Perfect day for a football game.

Oregon State Women vs. Cal

I had the opportunity to shoot a REALLY intense game of women’s basketball the other night. Cal visited Oregon State in Corvallis. The game wen to double overtime, and the Beavers unfortunately lost. It was an amazing effort, and I think you can see from the pictures that both teams really wanted the win.
